Euro 2012 Preview: Denmark v Germany, Portugal v Holland

As you can see, Germany are the bosses of Group B at the moment, which goes along with the bookmakers group predictions.

However, the bookmakers were unable to predict a lackluster Holland, who have unprecedentedly lost their first two games in the Group of Death.

With that said, the Oranje can still advance with a tw0-goal victory over Portugal and a Germany win.

All four teams in Group B have everything to play for, with none of them through or eliminated thus far. All signs are pointing to a cracking day of football on Sunday.

Euro 2012 Preview: Denmark v Germany

Jogi Löw and Germany will face Morten Olsen s Denmark in the 2012 UEFA European Championship in Arena Lviv, Lviv, Ukraine on Sunday, June 17.

Germany have been far from spectacular in their first two matches, but still have six points to show for their efforts.

Nonetheless, every team in the field should be wary of the German threat. Nobody wants to face Germany when they start to figure things out, not even Spain.

On the other side of the touchline, Denmark have been one of the surprises of Euro 2012.

The Danes shocked many when they defeated Holland in their first game of the tournament.

Sure, they may have had luck on their side, but they got the result and that s all that really matters.

But luck runs out eventually. Despite a valiant comeback, Denmark suffered a 3-2 defeat to the Portuguese in their second match in Group B.

Expect the Germans to win quite comfortably on Sunday. A 3-0 result sounds about right.

Euro 2012 Preview: Portugal v Holland

Portugal and Holland will meet in a clash of the giants at the Metalist Stadium in Ukraine on Sunday.

Holland boss Bert van Marwijk has been openly criticized for his inclusion of two holding midfielders, Mark van Bommel and Nigel de Jong, in the Oranje s starting XI.

The Dutchman has got to make changes, and he knows it.

We know from the start we have to win with a two-goal difference and I have that in mind, said Van Marwijk.

We have to go for it and that’s what the tactics will be based on. You’ll see that as well.

After the Germany defeat we were deeply disappointed but we knew we had to beat Portugal by at least two goals. It gives you a new situation, and I want to go ahead with that.

In contrast, Portugal manager Paulo Bento has revealed that his side need to do a better job of retaining possession against the Dutch.

Getting Cristiano Ronaldo and Nani into the game certainly wouldn t hurt their chances either.

Look for Portugal to frustrate the Dutch and get the result they need.
